For the Stardew Valley fans: Meet Littlewood

For the last four years we've had the absolute pleasure of an experience that is Stardew Valley, with countless free updates we really have been blessed with a wonderful little game. I don't know about you but ever since Stardew became such a huge part of my gaming life I've always searched for a similar game that would give me that same joyous feeling. The feeling of wanting to play it as soon as I'm home from work and before you know it two hours have passed and I'm sitting in the dark. Littlewood might just be that game for me.

I was browsing Steam trying to find a game to to help fix my boredom, and of course in the suggested games related to Stardew I found Littlewood. I was a little skeptical at first as I'd played games similar like Forager that were addicting at first, but I soon got bored and never touched the game again unfortunately. But I took the plunge a couple days back and purchased Littlewood, it's art style looked quite similar to how the older Pokémon games were so that definitely was something that interested me.

Littlewood is quite similar to Stardew, you have your tasks you can do every day and depending on how much you do, you can level up many different skills which of course then gives you even more tasks to discover. You can also make friends with all of the villagers you meet as you build their houses, help them with daily quests and you can even hang out and do activities together! Speaking of building, you are fully in charge of how your little town looks. Unlike Stardew which has it's unique look that you cannot change, you're allowed to edit absolutely everything in your town! I am really loving this little feature as the further you get through the game, there's more items to decorate with, so you really can just let your creativity flow.

The only thing that bothers me is that you're limited to only doing so much a day, as the more you do, the more your energy meter fills up. So basically when it's almost full, it'll become night time and you'll be wanting to go to bed. But I guess it just gives you more reason to play another day, and another day, and another day... You get what I mean. I sometimes like to just focus doing a handful of tasks like gathering items and chopping wood, it's always good to become organised in games like this.

I could go on and on and I've only played around 6 hours of Littlewood so far, it's safe to say I'm excited for what is still to come! It really has that moreish feel to it, you're wanting to play another day because you're super curious to what that day will bring. It really is a lovely little treat, I'm so glad I found it! You should definitely give it a try if you're a fan of Stardew, it has such a wonderful little charm that you instantly connect to and it'll keep you curious and wanting to play more and more.  Had you ever heard of Littlewood? Let me know what you think!
