Ni no Kuni 2: Kings Edition Collectors Box

You know when you find a game that you just completely fall in love with? One that just sticks out in your mind when you think of games you enjoyed start to finish, one you'll never forget. Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is that game for me. Early last year, I was deep into the world of gaming on Twitter and I was hearing a lot about a new JRPG (Japanese Role Playing Game) coming out. I was fairly new to JRPGs anyway, I've barely dipped my toe in that genre still. I took a quick look at the trailer for NNK2 before it came out and something just clicked with me. What was this game? When did the first one come out? Why have I never heard of this? So many questions. But I just took a dive into the deep end, purchasing it pretty much soon as it was released because I knew I had to try it.

From the moment I began my adventure as Evan I was completely hooked. Up until I finished the last quest, collected the last trophy, I just couldn't stop playing for weeks. The art style, the personalities of each character you met throughout the game, it just really was an incredible game for me. It's such a beautifully done story, the colours are vibrant and the music really is so enjoyable, I never got bored once. I saw that people were grabbing the Limited Edition sets of the game, I've never been one to collect items like these. No reason why, I just never put my heart into spending a little bit more money on gaming memorabilia. Kind of crazy considering gaming has been such a huge part of my life for so many years now. Well let me tell you now, my mind changed the moment I purchased the Kings Edition.

I've seen plenty of Instagram posts and Tweets of people showing their Ni no Kuni collections and it really did look like a wonderful set. I finally took the plunge last week and grabbed the Kings Edition for £60 on Zavvi. I had never spent so much on a game, but I had a brain fart of thinking that we do buy brand new games for nearly £50 now, so why would I not take up the opportunity of grabbing some goodies for £10 extra? Madness I tell you, my brain can be slow sometimes.

OKAY I'LL STOP RAMBLING. I just really wanted to show you all what was included in this Collectors Box, I'm so fucking over the moon with what I got. Yes I swore, oopsie. But it really has made me so happy that I'm swearing, and I'll just get right to showing you what I got!

Literally... Where do I begin? The box included an Art Book, Vinyl Record with pop up image inside the Vinyl book, A Steelbook case with DVD of behind the scenes making the game, the game itself WITH Season Pass to enable you to download all available DLC and last but not least a stunning Music Box/Globe. I was in absolute awe when I opened the box and witnessed the quality of everything that is pictured. All of this for £60, that an absolute steal. You can clearly see its all made so well too, no cheap shit here at all. They detailed it all so perfectly, even down to the packaging the Music Box came in, I had to take pictures from all angles so you can truly see the beautiful art on every side. Not to mention the Music Box itself is un-fucking-real, it plays the music from the game and I was a little taken back when it started playing if I'm honest. I get emotional, okay? It's something I'll treasure for the rest of my life. I recorded a little video to show you it in action, check that out here!

I could just spend all day gushing about this game and now that I own the Kings Edition my love has just grown so much more. I've actually been able to play the first game on PS3 recently too and that's a whole other post I could write! Two really fantastic games that I cannot recommend enough, seriously go play them both if you get chance. You will not regret it.
